Login Help

Why is there a login link for the website?

When you are logged in to the FPC of Stow & Acton website, there is an additional Members & Friends Area button on the main menu on the left, under the Home link. Clicking this button brings you to the Member & Friends Area.

In the Members & Friends Area you will find:

  • The current version of the Church Directory (in PDF format).
  • A searchable FPC contact list.
  • Previous editions of the Chronicle Newsletter.
  • Various documents about church business, such as those about capital campaigns.
  • An online form for changing your FPC contact information.
  • A “Get Your Message Out!” online form where you can submit news articles for transmission through any or all of the FPC communications channels (website, Chronicle, Facebook, FPCAnnounce, Order of Service, etc.)

Who can login?

User accounts have already been set up for each adult in the FPC directory. If you are a new member or friend of the church and would like to have an account, please visit the Register page. After you enter your information, a member of the Membership Committee will need to verify your association with the church before your account is made active.

Note that requiring a login to see information of interest only to members and friends also hides this information from search engines like Google.

I've forgotten my username or password. What do I do?

If you have an account but don't know your username or password, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Request new password page.
  2. Enter your e-mail address or your username if you remember it. (Usernames were created of the form FirstnameLastname, such as JohnDoe.)  Click on “E-mail Password Reset Instructions”.  An e-mail will be sent to you with further instructions.
  3. Check your e-mail Inbox.  You should have received an e-mail from webadmin [at] fpc-stow-acton [dot] org. (If you did not receive this e-mail, please check your Spam folder.) Click on the link within this e-mail.
  4. You will then be taken to an informational, “Reset Password” page. Click on the “Login” button.
  5. Enter a new password into both the “Password” and “Confirm Password” boxes. Here you can also change your user name, FPC contact info, upload a picture, or subscribe the various FPC newsgroups.
  6. When done click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen. Done!

A “Members & Friends Area” button will appear in the left hand menu of the website.  Click it to visit the area.

Once your new password has been set, you can login by:

  • Visiting the website home page.
  • Click on the Login link below the blue, left-hand menu bar.
  • Enter your e-mail (or username) and password.

The Login link will now be replaced with a link to your contact info and a logout link. On future visits to the website, you will remain logged in until you explicitly logout.

Should you have difficulty logging in or have questions please contact us and someone from the Communications Committee will help you.
