Board, Council, and Committees

Board of Trustees. 9 Elected Members, led by our President, and including the Vice President, Treasurer, Clerk, Minister. Responsible for the general health and well being of the congregation and the functioning of the church. Meets 2nd Tuesdays of each month in the church, and the meetings are open to the church community.

Program Council comprises most of the elected committee chairs. Led the the Vice President, Meets 3rd Tuesdays of each month in the church, and the meetings are open to the church community.

Committees
The following committees welcome new members, any time! See the bylaws for general committee descriptions. Contact the chair for questions; the church directory, available at the church office, has a listing of each committee chair and their contact information. Chairs serve one or more years after election at annual meeting in May.

Adult Programs			Arrange adult educational programs such as classes, lectures and discussion groups.
Buildings and Grounds	Whitney Granger		Care of the church buildings and grounds
Canvass / Stewardship	Rick Gentilman, Sharon Brownfield		Annual Pledging of financial support for church.
Communications	Hector Constantzos, Steve Evans	Second Mondays of the month, 7PM, Fellowship Hall downstairs.	Publicity, publications, Council meeting minutes, Sunday announcements, electronic communications projects, website.
Denominational Affairs	Betty Selling		Point of contact with the UUA, the district organization, other UU churches and related organizations.
Facilities	Currently handled through the church office.		Scheduling the use of all church facilities, for collecting rent, and for liaison with groups which use the facilities.
Finance	Gib Metcalf		General financial administration and preparation of the budget.
Fundraising	Each major event has an organizer		Fundraising events.
Hospitality	Hannah Pemberton		Coffee hour!
Lay Ministry / Caring Committee	Contact the Minister or office		Provide support to members of the church in need
Membership	Joanna Hall		Welcome new and prospective members
Music	Michael Paladini		Music programs and services.
Personnel	Marcia Rising		Staff performance, recruiting, contract and salary negotiations.
Religious Education	Rebecca Stadolnik	Generally once per month, Sundays after church. Contact the chair to confirm meeting date and time.	Coordinating a Religious Education Program for youth.
Social Action	Trisha Guditz	first Sunday morning of the month, before church.	Providing opportunities for every member to express individually and collectively concern on ethical, social, political and economic issues.
Social Programs	Jean and Dave McKinley		Adult and family social activities
Worship	Ann Gillespie		Special services and regular Sunday services working closely with the Minister. Summer services, ushers, and flowers!

Investment Committee – three members, each elected for a three year term. Responsible to the congregation for the investments and securities held by the church. Contact: Bob Glorioso or Susan Bak.

Nominating Committee - five members elected annually to serve one year terms, with a maximum of three consecutive terms. Contact: Rebecca Winborn.

Committee on Ministry- five church members, each appointed by the Board of Trustees for a three year term, to strengthen and improve relationships between the Minister and the Congregation. Contacts: Peter Fiske, Liz Cobblah.

These are chartered by the Board of Trustees for specific jobs, and disband when complete. Currently:
