At First Parish, we have many opportunities for children and youth to participate in our services in a musical or theatrical way. Children and youth are invited to sing, drum, perform, read announcements, and participate in our services in several ways.
Children's Choir (grades K-3)
The Children’s Choir rehearses once a week. Rehearsals are fun and relaxed. Through a variety of singing and rhythm games we explore our voices and learn new songs. We end by sharing a healthy snack together. The Junior Choir sings at the first service about once a month.
Youth Choir (grades 4-12, treble voices)
The Youth Choir rehearses one afternoon a week and sings for services at least once a month. FPC’s Youth Choir is open to the greater community. Singers need not be members of FPC in order to join the Youth Choir, but must be committed to attending rehearsals and appearances of the Youth Choir.
An intergenerational group gathers to drum twice a month. No drumming experience is needed-just drop by and join in. Instruments are provided if needed.
See our music page for more information about our choirs, drumming, and other musical activities.
A tradition here at First Parish Church! Children and youth of all ages perform a holiday play based on the tale of St. George and the Dragon. This play is performed in our Sanctuary on the third Sunday of December.
