Free Movie: Peaceable Kingdom

Peacable Kingdom Movie

Friday, May 31st, 2013 - 7:00PM

As the final showing in the Healthy Body Healthy Lives Nutrition video series this year we will be showing the movie "The Peaceable Kingdom" at 7:00 - 8:30 PM in Fellowship Hall.  Fellowship Hall is directly behind the sanctuary building.

The movie gets into the spiritual part of nutrition.  That is, we get into the the deeper, moral aspects of where our food comes from.
 

Mother's Day Plant Sale

Sunday, May 12th, 2013 - 10:30AM to 1:00PM

Surprise Mom with a new addition for the garden!  Come visit the FPC plant sale on Sunday, May 12th from 10:30 am to 1 pm.  Choose from a selection of shrubs, small trees, ground cover, herbs, perennials, annuals, and garden-related items.  The sale will take place rain or shine in the church parking lot.  Proceeds benefit the church.  For more information call 978-897-8149. Plant Based Potluck and Open Space Discussion

3rd Annual Immigration Forum

On March 17, the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton will host its third annual immigration forum. The event is designed to help us respond to and understand the realities of immigrant lives in our communities, along with evolving public initiatives to reform immigration policies. Seven knowledgeable panelists will describe how we can support local and national legislators in their efforts to create just and efficient roadways to citizenship for the 11 million hard-working “new Americans” who are so essential to our local and national economies.
