In response to the recent incidents in Ferguson Missouri, Cleveland Ohio and New York City, members of several local congregations, including St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Acton, South Acton Congregational Church, Boxborough United Church of Christ and The First Parish of Stow and Acton, Unitarian Universalist invite you to join them for a time of witness against racism.
The vigil will be held at 7pm on Thursday, January 8th at the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton at 353 Great Road in Stow. We will come together for an interfaith vigil service of reflection, prayer readings, music and candle lighting to deepen our understanding of the ugly role racism still plays in our society, and to strengthen our commitment to eliminate it in the way we live our lives as individuals, and the way we conduct ourselves as a society. All are welcome and our facilities are handicapped accessible.
