FPC Auction 2023 – Monopoly!

Pass Go and come on down to the FPC Spring Auction!  This event will include an on-line silent auction (starting at midnight on March 26th and ending on April 5th), and a live event on April 1st with both silent auction and live auction opportunities.

440 Gypsy Jazz is a quartet that expands the gypsy jazz tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.  They play danceable swing standards from the era of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Benny Goodman, as well as originals from the band.

Time to sign up for Small Group Ministry for 2023!

We are forming new groups of 8-10 people who will meet monthly, starting in February, with a trained facilitator to discuss a session topic. The topics are chosen to provide an opportunity for Intimacy and Ultimacy - increasing awareness of yourself and connections to other group members. We encourage existing participants to join again, either in the same or in a new group, and particularly welcome those new to the program or new to the church. Wonder and Glory: Vivaldi Gloria

20th Anniversary Peace Vigil on Nov. 17

Our Peace Vigil that takes place each Thursday night along Stow Common was started 20 years ago, on Nov. 26, 2002, by FPC member Neil Saunders, in response to the imminent Gulf War. “It was a cold November night,” Saunders recalls, “and we huddled together holding candles and a few homemade signs. It was our way of sending out a clear message that instead of sending American troops to fight a deadly war in Iraq, we believed every effort should be made to resolve the dispute peacefully through negotiation and diplomacy.”

2022 FPC Holiday Gift Drive

Every year, FPC collects holiday gifts for the guests of two domestic violence shelters. Santa’s elves will continue on with this tradition this year, although with a few changes due to COVID-19.

Background

For more than 15 years, our FPC community has stepped up to buy gifts for children, women and men who are fleeing domestic violence. We started first assisting Renewal House, a shelter for women and children in Roxbury which is connected to the UU Urban Ministry, and on whose board our former minister Tom Rosiello served. FPC Famous Apple Pie Sale

FPC's Famous Apple Pies are back! Pie sales will take place for four weekends (Saturdays and Sunday) this fall starting on Saturday, September 17. Pies are still $18 each. 

The FPC Pie Shed will be open on Saturday from 10 AM - 1 PM and Sunday from 11 AM until the pies are sold or 1 PM. The FPC Pie Shed is located at 353 Great Road, Stow, at the intersection of routes 117 and 62. For more information, email applepies@fpc-stow-acton.org.

FPC Community Yard Sale

The FPC Community Yard Sale will take place Saturday, September 17 from 9 AM–1PM. There will be multiple sellers, offering a wide variety of items than are found at a typical household yard sale. Items likely to be for sale are costume jewelry, household wares, decorative items, toys, games, sports equipment, clothing, DVDs, and books. The sale will be held outdoors in the church parking lot.
