Online Only: use the usual Zoom link below

Join us for a recording of the previous Sunday’s service at General Assembly, which this year is being held virtually. It will reflect on the reality that we are all tangled up together in a great web of life that is woven with beauty and hardship, love and loss, thriving and struggle. How do we tend well to this weaving so that all of us are held in care?

Please use the regular Zoom link below, and then at 10am our Zoom Host Sharon Brownfield will start playing the recording that we can all watch together.

For almost 3 years FPC has been in partnership with seven local area churches known as the IPRR that work together to help resettle refugees. Members of the Asylum Seekers Task Force will describe our success with two Afghan families allowing them to gain full independence. We are now assisting a large extended family from Rohingya (formerly Burma) who had been living in exile in Bangladesh for many years before their recent move to Lowell.

Our buildings are now mask-optional. We have designated a mask-required section of our sanctuary. It is marked off and in the back right corner. Please consult with an usher if assistance is needed.

- Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum

The Flower Ceremony, sometimes called Flower Communion, is a Unitarian Universalist ritual celebrated now in its 51st year, where everyone is invited to bring a flower that goes into a group bouquet. The flowers represent the glorious diversity of humanity, so it's particularly appropriate that we celebrate this in the midst of Pride Month, as our beautiful LGBTQ+ diversity is part of what we celebrate in the rainbow of flowers that are gathered. We'll also have our annual church picnic following the service -- pack a lunch and lawn games and picnic blankets or folding chairs! This year we may have our picnic at the park next door, so stay tuned for details!

Our buildings are now mask-optional. We have designated a mask-required section of our sanctuary. It is marked off and in the back right corner. Please consult with an usher if assistance is needed.

Intergenerational Service

- Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum with guest musician Joe Jencks
Summer is a time of shifting: school years end and begin, as do the tenures of FPC and UU officers. Right now, too, much of our society is transforming with new models emerging, and church life is no exception. This service will mark the transition of the completion of our first "First Chalice" class that we've had since 2019 and talk about how we learn to embrace transformation and change. All this supplemented with the fabulous music of musician Joe Jencks!
