Rev. Hank Peirce
There's an old joke that goes, if you find the perfect church, don't join because you'll ruin it. No church is perfect because people are not perfect, yet we strive to be communities that transform lives, and that is the important thing for us to remember.

Led by Mike Pfitzer, Director of Music
Have you ever been told that you can't sing? Do you feel that music is for "professionals" or experienced people only? Today we'll explore the "Empowering Song" approach to music, developed by Andre de Quadros, Emily Howe, and Jamie Hillman, that has been used to bring music to people in prisons, impoverished areas, war-torn countries, and other parts of the "forgotten world." Music serves as a vehicle for returning personal power to these individuals where that power is being systematically taken away from them. You'll even have a chance to be empowered through song in the service!

On this 4th Sunday of 2017 it is only now that the New Year feels real. Let’s talk about that. Let’s talk about how we find stability at times of dramatic changes.
