Tales from Israel and Palestine. Guests Ginny Crocker and Dee Russell will relate stories and show photos from their visit to Israel and Palestine with the Interfaith Peace Builders in November. On their trip, Ginny and Dee spoke with both Israeli and Palestinian groups working for peace, saw and heard about human rights violations, and visited several Palestinian villages and homes. They will speak on those experiences that affected them the most.

WORLD POETRY: SOPHIE WADSWORTH

An Intergenerational Service led by our Minister, Tom Rosiello and Intern Minister, Ilene Gillispie. This will be Ilene’s last Sunday with us. We’ll recognize her in the service and have a reception following. We bring our regular season of Sunday Morning Worship in our sanctuary to a close with our beautiful florwer Communion ritual. PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING A CUT FLOWER OR TWO WITH YOU TO CHURCH. We will bring them all together in one bouquet symbolizing the unity in our diversity.  In doing so, we will recognize the many blessings, gifts and talents we each bring to this community.  In gratitude for all we receive from others in our church community we will leave with the flower that another person brought. 
Our Adult choir, under the direction of Mike Pfitzer and the Children’s Choir under the direction of Pat Sorn, will be providing beautiful music.  Sanghee Kim will lead us from the piano and organ as we sing some favorite hymns.  This is a very meaningful service that really communicates what is at the heart of our faith
tradition.  If you have a friend or neighbor who you think might be interested in Unitarian Universalism, this would be a great service to invite them to attend.

Many traditions claim to have all the answers. Whether we are talking about Christian, Muslim, or even Scientific Fundamentalism, the idea that your tradition as the only truth has been, and continues to be, a very destructive force in our world. In our Unitarian Univarsalist tradition, we make no claim to having all the answers, but instead we try to reverently live the questions. This morning we will embrace the mystery of what we do not know and explore the importance of resisting exclusive interpretations of our world. Worship will be led by Tom Rosiello with music provided by Music Director, Mike Pfitzer, and Sanghee Kim.
